The Crickets’ Lullaby return to the stage of the Teatro della Limonaia in Sesto Fiorentino for the second year running, to pay homage to Pier Vittorio Tondelli through the performance of songs by artists beloved by the writer from Correggio. For this 2024 edition of the ‘Tondelli reading’ they will propose a set entirely dedicated to Brian Eno, with pieces chosen from two of his most significant and influential albums for all avant-garde music (but not only) of the 1970s and 1980s: ‘Another Green World’ and ‘Before and after science’.

Pier Vittorio Tondelli made us realise through his writing that music was the soundtrack of our lives at every happy or difficult moment.

I spend hours and days and nights chasing a word, that one word. I don’t care about plots, plots, those little shits there. Television stuff, I don’t waste my time chasing third world drama, that stuff! I go with my ear. I simply try to make the silent words on the page spread their sound, their voice. So that a cerebral hum is created, which is the music of the page, its rhythm. I look for the rhythm, the music of my years, I try to have a phrase that I can sing in my head, yes sing, the exact same thing. I make music with my words.
