The two days of study and reflection on the author will open on Friday 13 December at 6 p.m. in Palazzo dei Principi with writer and playwright Luca Scarlini, who will narrate ‘Camere Separate’. A narration based on the novel by Pier Vittorio Tondelli (Bompiani, 1989) and will explore the theme of creativity from the 1980s to the present day. The evening will continue at 8.30 p.m. at the Asioli Theatre, with the theatrical adaptation of ‘Altri Libertini’ by the multi-award-winning director Licia Lanera, a production of the Compagnia Licia Lanera co-production Albe/Ravenna Teatro. Published in 1980 by the publishing house Feltrinelli, ‘Altri libertini’ is Pier Vittorio Tondelli’s first work. Of the six short stories that make up this ‘episodic novel’, Lanera has chosen to work on ‘Viaggio’, ‘Altri libertini’ and ‘Autobahn’, cross-referencing them and creating, together with biographical notes of the actors Lanera is portraying, a single story for a four-body staging. On Saturday 14 December, the morning will open with a seminar on the most recent author-related studies, with researchers from various Italian universities. Central themes of the morning debate will be identity, publishing, the novel and contemporaneity. The discussion will be coordinated by Gino Ruozzi, who will lead the debate among the speakers.
In the afternoon, at 3 p.m., writer and translator Claudia Durastanti will present her contribution entitled ‘Tondelli and the rules of time’. To close these days dedicated to Tondelli and his work, at the Politeama bar, there will be the presentation of the book ‘Io, Fatur. La vodka bona non c’è più’ with the author, performer and CCCP artist Danilo Fatur, followed by a DJ set inspired by a playlist from Tondelli’s universe. Finally, from 7 to 15 December, in collaboration with the Punto al Centro shopkeepers, an itinerary through Tondelli’s words and images will be set up as part of the initiative ‘Una vetrina per Vicky a Correggio. The initiatives are organised by the Municipality of Correggo – Tondelli Documentation Centre in collaboration with Arci Reggio Emilia.
